Trinity Community Centre
The centre restored to a great standard for the local community of Colne in Lancashire, this first world war nissan hut was left to deteriorate in the late nineties formerly used as a man's institute, for men members of Trinity Baptist Church the centre housed a snooker table and a games room for the members to enjoy, this was a centre for men only and women was not allowed.
The centre was then used in the late eighties for the Boys Brigade and closed around 1993.
In 2007 a few members of Trinity Baptist Church decided that the centre needed a new form of life, and after two years hard slog with little money the Community Centre was re-born. Mums and toddlers, Bible studies, Youth clubs and Themed fund raising evenings are just the start for Trinity Community Centre. Thanks to Baptist Churches throughout the north west and their kind donations along with a lot of fund raising in our own church, we have now installed a multi purpose toilet , the Centre is used on a regular basis and is open for private functions.
